The performance of these devices is highly dependent on the fabrication quality of TFLN. WebJan 11, 2024 · An etching rate of 421 nm min −1 was observed during the lithium niobate deep etching to a depth of more than 113 μ m with a selectivity ratio to the mask of more than 77. A decrease in the etching rate during the deep etching process was most likely connected to the LiF non-volatile particles that formed during the etching process.
